Two Northrop Grumman Employees Honored with Award for Career Achievement


Two Northrop Grumman employees were recently awarded prestigious honorifics for their history of exemplary achievement and contribution to the electronic warfare (EW) and information operations (IO) fields.

Douglas Swoish, of the Aerospace Systems sector, was awarded the Col. Anton D. Brees Life Achievement Award, for his exemplary service to the association and the EW and IO field. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Swoish served in the United States Navy, most recently as a Captain, and earned numerous commendations for his service, including the Distinguished Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, three Meritorious Service Medals, and numerous other distinctions.

Joseph Farina, of the Technical Services sector, received the AOC’s Industry award for 2009, given to those who have contributed significantly to electronic warfare, information operations and related efforts. His 46 year career at Northrop Grumman has seen him praised and honored repeatedly by his peers and superiors.

Both awards were conferred by the Association of Old Crows (AOC), a not-for-profit professional association whose membership draws from the electronic warfare and information operations disciplines.
