SRA expertise earns $12 million contract for logistical support

Yesterday, SRA International announced that it has been awarded a contract from the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) Defense Logistics Information Research Program (DLIR) to provide sourcing and development of logistics data interoperability and availability. The indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract has a ceiling value of $12 million.

DLIR is the Research and Development (R&D) arm of the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS), a command-level service activity of the DLA providing ready access to quality logistics data. Under the terms of the contract, SRA will participate on the R&D Technologies Solutions Council, helping to identify existing and potential technologies that could benefit DLIS systems and business processes. SRA will also assist DLIS through core business process improvements and technology insertion.

“As a professional services provider, SRA has deep domain experience with technologies related specifically to performance-based logistics and total lifecycle management, ” said SRA Vice President of Enterprise Logistics Services George Batsakis. “The SRA team understands DLA’s functional requirements and we look forward to helping DLIS establish and maintain a technology roadmap for the future.”
