Reality Mobile secures $6.5 million in expansion capital to penetrate energy sector

On Thursday, Reality Mobile announced that it has secured $6.5 million in expansion capital in a round led by Energy Ventures and in conjunction with CTTV Investments LLC (the venture capital arm of Chevron Technology Ventures LLC) and communications investor, the Dobson Partnership. The funding will allow Reality Mobile to bring its enterprise-class real-time mobile collaboration platform into the energy sector, and launch a Houston office with sales and support staff.

All three funding partners were drawn to the unique features of Reality Mobile’s solution. The technology has clear applications in the broad range of industries where the ability to instantly connect high-value assets with the right expertise in real-time can mean the difference between success or failure. Its platform is already proven in the government and defense markets.

Reality Mobile’s software allows enterprise users to collectively visualize high-value assets and data with colleagues anywhere in the world. With the RealityVision^® platform, users can securely transmit live video from virtually any camera source, from cell phones to high-definition cameras, and share it immediately with any and all system users. And using the RealityVision^® Screencast^TM capability, users can stream a portion of their computer screen to anyone on the network.
