Northrop Grumman supporting Army training for $140 million

On Tuesday, Northrop Grumman announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command and the Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center to support the U.S. Army Security Assistance Training Management Organization (USASATMO). The five-year, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract has a potential value of $140 million.

The contract calls for Northrop Grumman to support training, logistics and maintenance of selected friendly foreign military and paramilitary forces through the use of security assistance teams. USASATMO deploys and sustains security assistance teams in support of U.S. foreign policy and national interests. Teams are organized to support mobile training, extended training service and technical assistance. These teams provide technical and training support as well as assistance to foreign military forces using equipment and technology supplied by the United States.

“Undoubtedly, our proven ability to prepare, manage and deploy, highly capable training teams into theatres of operation will benefit USASATMO, ” said Randall Perry, Northrop Grumman Technical Services program manager for the contract. “Northrop Grumman has the proven experience providing real world solutions for national defense, intelligence and other high-priority government missions.”
