Executive Move – Michael Thomas appointed Executive VP and Chief Sales Officer of Keane

Yesterday, Keane announced that it has appointed Michael Thomas as its executive vice president and chief sales officer. In this role, Thomas is expected to drive global sales for the IT services firm.

Thomas’ experience as a sales leader in the technology industry necessitated this move. Most recently, Thomas was executive vice president of Global Sales and Marketing at Symphony Services, where he transformed the sales organization to compete on the broad range of transaction sets required to sustain growth and help clients achieve their business objectives. Prior to that, Thomas served as a vice president at Capgemini. In this role, Thomas was responsible for sales in the company’s America’s Outsourcing business and general management of its North America BPO organization, specifically focusing on large “mega deal” activities for companies looking to achieve meaningful transformational change. He has also held various other leadership and global sales roles for professional services firms, with responsibilities that include managing alliances, acquisitions, strategic planning, product incubation, risk management, customer satisfaction and client relationship development.

“Mike brings a wealth of experience in IT services, business process outsourcing, general management and global sales to Keane, ” said Keane president and CEO John W. McCain. “His proven track record of success in growing companies will be invaluable for Keane to leverage as Mike joins our organization to oversee global sales.”
