Contract Award – Verizon – $5 million – NATO

According to UPI.com, last week, Verizon announced that it has been awarded a contract to support NATO with networking and security services at approximately 30 locations on the agency’s network. The contract is worth $5 million, and calls for Verizon to integrate secure gateways for the Internet and gateways for the Public Key Infrastructure encryption at the 30 locations.

“Because of its international makeup and special mission, NATO has a unique set of security requirements, ” said Verizon Federal group president Susan Zeleniak. “With our global network security expertise and extensive government experience, Verizon Business is uniquely suited to secure the communications of this illustrious political and military alliance.”
