U.S. Navy Awards $900 Million Contract to URS and Others.

Four firms have been awarded a $900 million, five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity U.S. Navy contract, among them is URS Corp. The contract specifies construction projects at Department of Defense installations around the world.

URS may gain the right to perform services by competitively bidding or by assignment from the Navy under the terms for the contract. Required services can include construction, repair, demolition and renovation.

“We are pleased by this award, which will enable us to continue supporting the Department of Defense on long-term DoD initiatives like Military Transformation. URS has a strong track record of assisting all branches of the U.S. military, and we look forward to building on our experience through this program, which will improve the facilities used by U.S. troops around the world, ” said, Gary V. Jandegian, President of the URS Division.
