Northrop Grumman’s business unit, Sperry Marine, received approval to market marine radars in Russia earlier this week. The approval of the Sperry Marine X-Band and S-Band Cat 1 and 2 models was approved by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. J. Nolasco DaCunha, VP of Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine, confirmed that all of the radars “fully meet the Russian register’s specification for operation” under severe cold weather as well as high-latitude navigation. DaCunha also mentioned the growing significance of the Polar Regions in the marine transportation business.
