On Tuesday, Capgemini announced that its subsidiary Capgemini Government Solutions, LLC, has expanded its internal leadership team and named external directors to its board.
The new additions to the public sector leadership team are Jose Garcia, who was appointed vice president to lead the U.S. state and local business practice, and George Love, who was appointed as senior manager to manage the tax and revenue business practice. The moves serve to reinforce the company’s commitment to become a partner of choice for federal, state and local agencies to deliver on their missions.
Garcia most recently served as executive vice president of sales for the Agilex State and Local Government, Education and Civilian Agency business, and has more than 25 years’ experience in the public sector and marketing. Love once served as vice president of Global Consulting for Oracle Tax Global Business Unit and has made a career of consulting and selling for the global tax market.
The new external directors are Dr. Renato (Renny) DiPentima, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Gregory Newbold and Dr. William Winkenwerder. Capgemini also named R. James Nicholson as a strategic advisor to the board. The hope is that the new members will provide business and security governance as well as strategic planning support to Capgemini as it continues to expand its public sector portfolio.
