The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Lockheed Martin a Blanket Purchase Agreement, to be among the firms to provide support for the IT Solutions-EPA II agreement. Under the contract, which is for seven years and has a combined ceiling value of $955 million, Lockheed will perform IT maintenance and service with the goal of secure information exchange, data analysis and scientific investigation of geographic areas to assist the government and environmental groups in decision making. Lockheed has worked to support the EPS’s IT infrastructure since 1992.

Lynn Singleton, director of Environmental Services in the Corporation’s Information Systems and Global Services business area said, “Real-time knowledge and information are at the heart of protecting human health and the environment…The Environmental Protection Agency must be able to rely on its IT infrastructure to enable quick and accurate analysis, decision and action in support of full range of environmental missions.”
