This morning, IBM announced that it has been contracted by Australian airline Qantas to provide project delivery functions, falling in line with its overarching goal of improved business efficiency.
The contract stipulates that IBM draw on and apply its project management delivery expertise and industry knowledge to Qantas’ work in order to ensure both time and financially-efficient delivery of the airline’s business and IT change programs. In addition, IBM will offer up analytics and research services to help Qantas improve its business decisions.
“Qantas is confident that IBM will assist us in improving efficiencies in our information technology business, ” said Qantas executive manager of Corporate Services and Technology. “We believe the model offered by IBM will improve both our business and customer experience.”
