On Wednesday, CSC announced that it has been selected to enter into exclusive contract negotiations with Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) for for the provision of data center and IT infrastructure managed services in Europe and North America and covering data center centralization and server virtualization.The two companies are negotiating a ten-year master service agreement, and if a deal is made, the potential contract value is estimated to be up to $2.4 billion.
The exclusive contract negotiation period runs for six months, and there’s no guarantee that the two sides will come to an agreement. If they do, though, services will commence in the first half of 2010.
