Yesterday, CA, Inc. announced that several of its security and systems management solutions have been as certified Ready for IBM® Power Systems Software.™ The solutions are designed to enhance the security of resources, increase asset utilization, and reduce the cost of managing IBM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) environments.
Virtual I/O Server is a special-purpose partition which provides virtual I/O resources to client partitions, and it owns the resources that are shared with clients. VIOS is designed to reduce costs by eliminating the need for dedicated network adapters, disk adapters and disk drives, and tape adapters and tape drives in each client partition. In order to become Ready for IBM Power Systems Software, IBM certifies compliance with each ISV’s products that deploy agents into the VIOS partition.
