BAE and DRS Secure $1.9 Billion Contracts with Army

BAE Systems and DRS Technologies were awarded a contracts with a ceiling of $1.9 billion by the Army. The contract requires the vendors to deliver infrared vision enhancers (DVEs) for tactical vehicles.

The Army Communications and Electronics Command awarded the contracts on behalf of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and Special Operations Command. The DVEs are used to increase navigational ability in obscured vision conditions. The contract is indefinite quantity and delivery contract.
