On Monday, Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. announced the creation of a new scholarship program that helps military personnel and their families pursue post-secondary education. This year, ACS awarded 25 scholarships worth $2, 000 each in a gesture falling in line with the company’s history of commitment to recognize the contributions of the country’s military.
President and chair of the ACS Philanthropic Foundation Lora Villareal said “The creation of the ACS Military Scholarship Program demonstrates our deep gratitude to our military and their families. By providing scholarships, we are remaining consistent with our philanthropic goal of assisting those who are in the greatest need.”
This year’s 25 scholarship recipients boast a variety of career aspirations, ranging from IT to nursing.
