QinetiQ  North America ITS Corporation has won a General Service Administration (GSA) contract to update the Department of State and other foreign affairs agencies telecommunication systems, worth up to $100 million over the next five years if all options are used. The  QinetiQ North America’s Mission Solutions Group under the Janus II contract will upgrade the Department of State’s Foreign Posts Telephone Branch.
With the aide of Nortel Government Solutions (NGS) in government installment and delivery, U.S. telephone systems aborad will now have digital switching technology after all communication systems are updated in current and new embassy buildings.
The Janus II contract is an extension of the Janus I and DOSTEC contracts under the ANSWER Governemnt-wide Acquistion contract, of which QinetiQ North America has been the primary supplier for nine years.
