EDS Wins $170 Million Technology Services Contract with Tennessee’s Medicaid Program


EDS has won a $170 million contract extension to provide a range of technology and support services to the state of Tennessee’s Medicaid system.  Under the four-year extension to an existing arrangement, subsidiary will upgrade the hardware and software that supports the TennCare Health Management Information System. EDS will also implement a business intelligence system that will allow state administrators to better analyze and interpret data from the system.

EDS will also continue to provide system management, maintenance, and enhancement services to Tennessee’s Medicaid administration, also supporting mailroom, scanning, data entry, and indexing functions.

Barbara Anderson, EDS’ VP for State Health and Human Services, said “Tennessee’s healthcare leaders deserve credit for recognizing the power of technology to help the state reach its long-term health goals.”
