Harris Wins $44M Air Force Radio Contract


The US Air Force has awarded the Harris Corporation a $44 million contract to provide JTRS-approved Falcon III AN/PRC-152(C) radio equipment. The  handheld radios will be used to update communications in the Security Forces, Special Operations, Combat Engineers and Air Mobility Command (AMC) US Air Force divisions.

“Harris is pleased to be the supplier of choice. More than 80, 000 JTRS-approved, multiband, multi-mission Falcon III AN/PRC-152(C) radios have been deployed around the world. This radio addresses the interoperability needs of today’s warfighter and is fully upgradeable to address changing technical standards and mission requirements, ” said group president of Harris RF Communications Dana Mehnert.
