EDS Wins $90M Contract


Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) has won a $90 million contract to provide infrastructure management for 3 Chilean financial services firms, Nexus, Redbank, and Transbank.

EDS will create a high-efficiency data center, in Santiago, Chile, as well as helping the companies consolidate their data centers and lower their costs. EDS will also manage core platforms, servers, PCs, telecommunications and information security to help the companies compete in the financial industry.

According to the managing director of EDS Latin America Multicountry area, Agustin Urtubey, “Success in today’s financial market requires an advanced technology infrastructure that can optimize operations, improve productivity and deliver competitive services to customers.”
