Bulova awarded $574, 000 contract from SAIC

Bulova Technologies Group has been awarded a $574, 000 Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) contract to create environmentally friendly technologies for the U.S. Army.

Bulova will work on developing perchlorate free energy mixes for the Army M118 and M119 vehicle booby trap simulators. According to Bulova, perchlorate free energetic mixes can help decrease the amount of harmful chemicals and reduce the negative impact of training on the environment.

“By combining Bulova’s ordnance simulator expertise with the expertise of SAIC in adopting environmentally compliant technologies into Defense Department requirements, we look forward to development of a new generation of ordnance simulators that fully train U.S. forces for combat while at the same time minimizing the impact of training on the environment, ” said Bulova CEO, Stephen Gurba
