Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky Unit Eyes Poland’s Military Transport Helicopter Buy


Black HawkTYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 12, 2016 — Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary is back in the lineup for the potential supply of military transport helicopters to Poland after the cancellation of a planned $3.5 billion purchase of Airbus‘ H225M Caracal, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Flightglobal reported Monday Sikorsky offers the S-70i Black Hawk helicopters through its Poland-based business PZL Mielec.

The AgustaWestland AW149 helicopter from Leonardo-Finmeccanica‘s Polish subsidiary PZL Swidnik is also a candidate for the program.
