TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 25, 2016 — Stacy Schwartz, vice president for public safety within AT&T‘s (NYSE: T) government solutions business, has said the public safety market is seeing increased adoption of video and mobility technologies, which organizations also use in combination to drive collaboration.

“Mobile networks support the sharing of the video and sensor-fed data across a command center, an individual first responder and other first responders and public safety entities, ” Schwartz said in an ExecutiveBiz interview posted Wednesday.

“This can support accelerated decision-making and response times as well as improved outcomes when precious lives are at stake.”

She noted that AT&T works to transform its network to become software-centric in effort to meet the needs of public safety agencies and that the company’s mobile devices work to support both the IT and mission sides of those agencies.
