Lockheed Lands FAA Contract for Air Traffic Control Radar Services


lockheed martinTYSONS CORNER, VA, June 2, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will provide technical services to the Federal Aviation Administration in support of radar systems for air traffic control under a $28.3 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the contract covers design, development, analysis and test services for FAA’s Microprocessor-En Route Automated Radar Tracking System.

The business capture comes a few months after Lockheed agreed to a $5 billion merger between its government information technology and services businesses and Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), which closes at the fourth quarter of 2016.
