TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 24, 2016 — Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch, senior vice president for government strategy and policy at Inmarsat, has said government and industry collaboration in the space systems business segment will facilitate increased resiliency of operations, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Cowen-Hirsch wrote in a blog post published Monday that a new satellite service model that utilizes a government-industry partnership to support military satellite communications works to build resiliency.

“A strong, forward-looking partnership between the government and satellite industry is required in order to ensure that available commercial satcom solutions are fully considered as part of the recapitalization process to ensure that the warfighter has robust and globally accessible satellite capability available when needed, ” she said.
