TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 19, 2016 — Alan Bloodgood, a senior vice president at Siemens‘ U.S. federal government subsidiary, believes the federal sector will see an uptick in focus on renewable energy, distributed energy systems and energy security, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Bloodgood, who oversees energy and infrastructure business development at Siemens Government Technologies, told ExecutiveBiz in an interview that the above trends come amid efforts to meet government energy savings and efficiency mandates.

He also noted that the use of financing mechanisms such as energy savings performance contracts and power purchase agreements works to support energy goals while saving taxpayer dollars.
