Orbital ATK Urges Congress to Resume Commercial Satellite Launches Using ICBM Rockets

rocket-launchTYSONS CORNER, VA, April 6, 2016 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) hopes that lawmakers will lift the 20-year embargo on using rockets from retired intercontinental ballistic missiles to launch commercial satellites, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Reuters reported Tuesday the company has previously used engines from decommissioned ICBMs on its Minotaur rockets, which has launched U.S. Air Force payloads to space.
