Navy Tests General Atomics’ Aircraft Arrestment Gear With Boeing’s Super Hornet


U.S. Navy photo by Greg CurryTYSONS CORNER, VA, April 5, 2016 — General Atomics has worked with the U.S. Navy to test the company’s aircraft arrestment system on the Boeing-built (NYSE: BA) F/A-18E Super Hornet aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The test at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst checked the functionality of the Advanced Arresting Gear to control the deceleration of the carrier-based Super Hornet as the Navy plans to install the system on the future USS John F. Kennedy, General Atomics said Friday.
