Lockheed Awards BAE $166M to Build Facilities for UK’s Future F-35 Fleet


F35TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 11, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has tapped BAE Systems to build three engineering and training facilities at the Marham air base in the U.K. under a $166.3 million subcontract, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

BAE said Thursday the construction project is part of preparations for the delivery of the first Lockheed-built U.K. F-35 fighter jets beginning 2018.
