Doug Kaempf Joins Allegheny as VP of Energy Futures; Arria Hines Comments

Washington-based engineering services contractor Allegheny Science and Technology Corp. has appointed Doug Kaempf as vice president of Energy Futures, a strategic business unit of the company.

Kaempf will lead the company’s contract with the Energy Department for mission-oriented technical support to DOE’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Allegheny said Friday.

“Doug knows our customer and has the proven leadership and management experience that makes him a valuable asset to our company, ” said Allegheny CEO Arria Hines.

The 25-year veteran will bring his experience in industrial energy efficiency and biomass technologies project management and development while he worked for the department’s office of IT and business systems and EERE, the report said.

He also had previous roles in engineering design for Baltimore Gas, Electric Company and the National Security Agency.

Kaempf received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in technology management from University of Maryland.
