Air Force Plans $533M Construction Projects at Eielson AFB for F-35 Fleet


F35TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 8, 2016 — The U.S. Air Force could spend an estimated $533 million on the construction of hangars and other facilities to accommodate the service branch’s fleet of Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 jets at Eielson Air Force Base, Executive Gov reported Thursday.

Newsminer reported Wednesday 46 construction, remodeling and demolition projects are planned through 2020 to prepare for the arrival of the aircraft.
