AAR to Support Navy Clipper Transport Planes Under $105M Contract


Helicopter RadarAAR Defense Systems & Logistics has won a potential five-year, $104.97 million contract to provide logistics and depot-level support for the U.S. Navy‘s fleet of C-40A Clipper transport aircraft.

The company will perform work in Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, Florida, California and Virginia through March 2021, the Defense Department said Friday.

The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland, received three offers for the contract via the Internet and will obligate nearly $3 million in fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) designed and built the C-40A to transport military personnel and cargo worldwide.
