Northrop Grumman’s Global Hawk UAV to Collect Weather Data for NOAA


northrop Grumman_BLUETYSONS CORNER, VA, February 9, 2016 — A Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) unmanned aerial system will be used by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to further the study of El Nino and its effect on the Pacific Ocean’s temperature, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Friday the Global Hawk UAV will work to provide meteorological measurements and data for storm predictions as part of the Sensing Hazards with Operational Unmanned Technology mission.
