Final Boeing-Built Air Force GPS IIF Satellite Launches to Space


boeing logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, February 9, 2016 — The 12th and final Global Positioning System IIF satellite Boeing (NYSE: BA) built for the U.S. Air Force has launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station aboard an Atlas V rocket, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The Air Force reported Friday the launch marks the completion of the program to send the GPS IIF constellation into orbit to deliver space-based navigation, positioning and timing services.
