Boeing Considers Self-Funding Materials for Extended F/A-18 Production


Boeing F-18 Super HornetTYSONS CORNER, VA, February 17, 2016 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) will decide in the coming weeks if it will pursue a company investment to self-fund the continued production of F/A-18 fighter aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Reuters reported Friday that Dan Gillian, head of Boeing’s F/A-18E/F and EA-18G programs, has indicated the plan to purchase production materials with company funds comes amid pending government decisions on procurement requests from Kuwait and the U.S. Navy.
