BAE Systems Picks AMI Metals to Supply Aluminum Aircraft Components


Bae systems logo_ExecutiveBizTYSONS CORNER, VA, February 4, 2016 — BAE Systems has selected AMI Metals, a subsidiary of Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (NYSE: RS), to provide aluminum plates in support of the F-35, Hawk and Typhoon programs under a $100 million contract, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

Reliance said Tuesday the contract includes cut-to-size and cut-to-shape aluminum products and runs through the end of December 2021.
