Tiffanny Gates, formerly vice president of cyber strategies at Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) Blackbird Technologies subsidiary, has joined Novetta as president of the company’s federal division.

Gates will be responsible for the company’s projects for the U.S. government and for the division’s strategy, business development and delivery of analytics services to clients, Novetta said Wednesday.

“She is an accomplished executive, national security community entrepreneur and proven leader who brings a unique combination of mission, cyber security and intelligence experience to the Novetta team, ” said Peter LaMontagne, CEO of Novetta.

Gates most recently led Raytheon Blackbird Technologies’ efforts to develop computer network hardware and software for intelligence and special operations customers.

She served as senior VP of strategy and business development for the mission, cyber and technology solutions group at ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) before she joined Raytheon.

Gates was president and CEO of Emerging Technologies Group before ManTech acquired that company.

She previously worked for the public sector as a consultant to the national security and information assurance team for the commander of the Naval Security Group, as a technical analyst for the National Security Agency and as a cryptologic officer for the U.S. Navy.
