NASA Astronauts Test Boeing-Built CST-100 Training Systems


boeing logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, January 11, 2016 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) let NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Eric Boe do a trial run of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft using company-built training devices, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Boeing said Thursday these devices are equipped with CST-100’s switches and display panels to prepare the spacecraft’s four crewmen for the planned 2017 manned flight test to the International Space Station.

“We have been learning about the spacecraft displays through slideshows… It’s great to finally see what we are actually going to train on, ” Behnken said.
