Lockheed Taps Orbital ATK to Build Alternative Warheads for Army Rockets


rocketTYSONS CORNER, VA, January 22, 2016 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) will build alternative warheads for the U.S. Army’s Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System under a $14 million contract from Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Orbital ATK said Wednesday the warheads have passed the requirements of GMLRS based on the Army standards for area effects and design.
