TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 13, 2016 — Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch, senior vice president for U.S. government strategy and policy at Inmarsat, believes an ongoing collaborative program between the company, the Defense Department and other satellite operators will help boost commercial-military space operations, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Cowen-Hirsch wrote in a blog entry posted Monday that the Commercial Integration Cell program along with the government’s efforts to reform the acquisition process for satellite communications systems are some of the industry highlights in 2015.

“In 2016, we want to achieve even more as our collaborative efforts help us invest wisely in responding to government needs, to develop secure, reliable, resilient, flexible and capable satcom that is fully interoperable with milsatcom — anytime, anywhere, ” she said.
