TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 19, 2016 — Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (NYSE: HPE) U.S. public sector business, believes the public information technology sector should adapt traditional IT to a cloud-based environment amid emerging cyber threats, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Crouther wrote in a blog entry posted Thursday on the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association website that cyber attacks continue to advance to conform to today’s network technology.

“[Protecting digital networks] can only be done by understanding the full cyber attack lifecycle and delivering security using a layered approach to data to manage risk, monitor operations, protect information and applications, and sustain operational integrity, ” she said.
