Army Awards 17 Spots on $900M Chem-Bio Defense Logistics Support IDIQ


Chemical weaponsThe U.S. Army has awarded positions on a potential four-year, $900 million contract to 17 companies to provide logistics support services for the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense.

The contractors will compete for individual task orders under the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

JPEO-CBD performs research and development work and oversees the procurement and deployment of biological and chemical detection systems, decontamination platforms, information management tools, collective protection equipment, drugs, vaccines and medical devices.

The vendors are scheduled to complete work on Jan. 11, 2020, according to DoD.

The Army Contracting Command received 17 proposals for the IDIQ contract and will allocate funds and announce work locations upon award of each task order.
