France Requests 3rd General Atomics Reaper Drone Under FMS Deal With USAF


General AtomicsTYSONS CORNER, VA, December 17, 2015 — France has requested a third General Atomics-built Reaper drone that it expects to receive from the U.S. government by 2019 as part of a $1.5 billion contract awarded in 2013, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The French defense ministry said Dec. 10 the purchase order is under a foreign military sales deal with the U.S. Air Force and the drone will be used to support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
