TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 1, 2015 — Gene Colabatistto, president of CAE‘s (NYSE: CAE) defense and security group, believes increased military interest in simulation technology and “portfolio shaping” of companies will drive the training and simulation industry, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

Colabatistto told Defense News in an interview published Saturday that the military services currently explore gaming and “virtual flag” exercises as part of this shift in attitude toward training simulation.

“I think you will see some companies trying to vertically integrate in order to be a full-services provider, and then you will see some divest themselves of pieces they don’t need, ” he said regarding industry activity.
