Boeing Ships High-Power Mobile Satellite to Mexican Government


boeing logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, December 18, 2015 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) has delivered the Morelos-3 702 high-power satellite to the Mexican government to help enhance its national security, civil and humanitarian programs, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said Wednesday they will conduct a field test of the mobile satellite ahead of full operations in mid-2016.

“[Mexico] has delivered on its vision to provide 3G+ voice and data services to mobile terminals that are now an integral part of the government’s communications infrastructure, ” said Mark Spiwak, president of Boeing’s international satellite systems unit.
