Andy Hove Joins AM General as President, CEO


AMGeneralLogoAndy Hove, formerly president and CEO at defense contractor HDT Global, has joined AM General to serve in the same roles.

AM General said Tuesday Hove will succeed the retiring CEO Charlie Hall.

Hall said Hove’s experience in the domestic and international vehicle manufacturing sector could help position the company for future growth.

Hove said he plans to lead the modernization programs for the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle or Humvee and help improve AM General’s commercial assembly business.

Hove spent two years as president of Oshkosh Defense until his appointment at Mistral Group as chief operating officer in 2011.

He served as a vice president at BAE Systems, where he helped oversee the Bradley Combat Systems program.

He joined FNSS Defense Systems in 1998 as assistant general manager after more than a decade in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer.
