TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 9,  2015 — Siemens will install energy-efficiency systems at a U.S. Army depot in Texas under a $24 million energy savings performance contract from the Army Corps of Engineers, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said Wednesday the contract works to support the Army’s water and power conservation efforts across the service as part of a White House mandate.

“As the largest single user of energy in the U.S., the federal government is leading by example through its commitment to improving the energy efficiency of America’s publicly owned buildings, parks and historic sites, reducing carbon emissions and enhancing the nation’s energy security, ” said Barbara Humpton, president and CEO of Siemens’ government technologies unit.
