Leidos Wins $662M Army Airborne Reconnaissance System Support IDIQ


LeidosLogoLeidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a potential five-year, $662 million contract to provide design, configuration management and aircraft integration support for the U.S. Army’s Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced system.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract also covers testing, architecture engineering, system integration, logistics and technical support for ARL-E, the Defense Department said Thursday.

ARL-E works to provide tactical monitoring capabilities against potential threats in operational environments and has a plug-and-play mounting system that can accommodate various types of sensors, according to the FedBizOpps website.

The ARL-E contract program is meant to replace nine ARL-Multifunction systems and covers the addition of Light Detection and Ranging, Wide Area Surveillance and Hyper Spectral Imaging sensors and integration with the Distributed Common Ground System-Army platform.

The Army Contracting Command received three offers for the contract and expects work to be completed on Nov. 3, 2020, according to DoD.

The service branch will determine funds and performance location upon award of each task order.
