General Dynamics-Led Team Tests Increment A4 of NASA SGSS; Manny Mora Comments


general dynamics logoTYSONS CORNER, VA, November 17,  2015 — A team led by General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has completed the integration, testing and deployment of NASA‘s Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment Increment A4 infrastructure, ExecutiveBiz reported Nov. 10.

The company said Nov. 9 the team also finished acceptance testing on the wideband and narrowband modems and delivered the telemetry as well as tracking and control software for Increment A4.

“This milestone, combined with program achievements earlier this year, means that more than 80 percent of the new software needed to bring SGSS on line in 2017 is complete, ” said Manny Mora, vice president and general manager of space and intelligence systems at General Dynamics’ mission systems business.
