CMS Selects Opera Solutions’ Software to Analyze HIX Operations


softwareOpera Solutions has been awarded a three-year, $28 million contract to provide operational analytics software to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the analysis of enrollment and payment processes on federally-run health insurance exchanges.

The company said Nov. 17 it will also help the agency evaluate HIX issuer claims, revenues and profits with the firm’s analytics platform.

Pieter Schouten, executive vice president of healthcare at Opera Solutions, said the company has helped CMS analyze huge amounts of health insurance marketplace data through the use of technology.

“We are honored to continue this important role of serving our country and playing a part in providing healthcare coverage to so many, ” added Arnab Gupta, Opera Solutions founder and CEO.

CMS and Opera Solutions have collaborated to architect, build and implement infrastructure for the agency to verify and compare Heathcare.gov enrollment statistics with insurers’ records.

The company designed its flagship platform Signal Hub in an effort to help government, financial services, healthcare, travel, hospitality, retail and telecommunication organizations manage complex data systems.
