TCS to Help Sustain Army’s Satellite Transportable Terminals


TCSTeleCommunication Systems (Nasdaq: TSYS) has been awarded a potential three-year, $91 million delivery order to sustain very small aperture terminals for the U.S. Army‘s satellite-based communication activities.

The Army asked the company to perform sustainment work on AN/TSC-198A Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Access Point VSATs, TCS said Monday.

TCS designed its transportable SNAP terminals with plug-and-play, modularity and graphical user interfaces intended to help military users exchange multimedia content.

The contract has an $18.6 million initial value and the company is scheduled to complete work in September 2018.
